The Alliance of North Idaho is a grassroots movement of community members that supports local libraries, raises community awareness about library issues, and fights against censorship.
We are an all-volunteer group of librarians, teachers, parents, citizens, and book lovers who care about our community and share a commitment to supporting local libraries, raising community awareness about library issues, and fighting against censorship.
We come from a variety of backgrounds and hold a wide range of political and religious ideologies. But we all share the belief that freedom of speech is essential to the survival of a free and open democracy. We believe libraries should be safe, welcoming places for everyone.
