- In 2024, the ALA identified 2,452 unique book titles that were challenged in the US. The third highest ever documented by the ALA.
- 72% of titles challenged were by pressure groups and decision makers.
- In recent years, organized groups have begun demanding multiple titles, often dozens or hundreds at a time.
